Authority in agent-assisted software development should be a governance choice: keep humans as the principal owners and make agents subordinate, designing workflows and UX so human direction, intervention, and acceptance are the default authority rather than an afterthought to autonomous generation.

Agentic coding tools that produce unreviewable pull requests create an operational failure mode: teams should avoid treating agents as black-box feature producers and instead enforce human-owned review loops and auditability, and investors should discount tools whose outputs don’t integrate with standard development workflows.

Favor inspectable collaboration over opaque prompt-to-output agent workflows: integrate agents into human-controlled team processes so intermediate reasoning and review remain visible and governable, and prefer development systems that expose incremental artifacts and review points rather than only finished outputs.
